Commitment to Safety and Customer Service Advocated by Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger During HSG Sponsored Breakfast
HSG, the leader in providing innovative auto glass claim management solutions to the insurance industry, was proud to sponsor a breakfast with Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger during the recent International Auto Glass Safety (AGRSS) Conference in Las Vegas. The private breakfast for AGRSS-registered shops and member company representatives was held prior to his keynote address.
Captain Sullenberger became a recent hero when he skillfully landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River. His knowledge of safety allowed him to successfully land his plane on the water and save all 155 passengers.
"Captain Sullenberger was the ideal person to address the AGRSS Conference this year," said Paul Gross, president and CEO for HSG. "AGRSS is widely recognized for 'setting the standard' for safety in the glass industry. Captain Sullenberger related the advance preparation he had undertaken in his career as a pilot, and spoke to the moral obligation he feels to do the right thing when it comes to safety and serving customers. His message of personal integrity was inspirational to all who attended."
In addition to greeting Captain Sullenberger, breakfast attendees were able to witness the AGRSS council presenting the first ever Carl F. Tompkins Distinguished Service Award to Cindy Ketcherside. Cindy is the former AGRSS Council President and Chair of the Accreditation Committee.
"I'd like to congratulate Cindy Ketcherside on the honor that was bestowed during the breakfast," says Gross. "Her work has been instrumental in developing the standards upon which AGRSS is based and promoting them within the industry. We were truly honored to have been a part of her special day."
